Hard to find angels in Hell

I'm at this very moment giving myself a congratulatory pat on the back. Yes, I am. Because I just got the BIGGEST crapload of homework dumped on me so far this week (and there's bound to be more to come tomorrow and on Thursday...) and I finished a MAJORITY of it. No, not all of it, but a large majority of it - enough so that I can sleep EARLY tonight (well, sort of. It's 10:46pm right now).

I'm so sleepy right now. Just thought I'd point that out.

So I start work at New York Fries on Saturday this weeek, during the lunch rush - oooooooh yeah. Totally the best time to start. Ugh.

I thought I had so much to write about, but it turns out....no, not much.

Oh yeah, ALL YFC MEMBERS, PLEASE ATTEND:

REGIONAL COVENANT ORIENTATION (RCO) - February 22nd @ DBYC!
COLLECTIVE - February 28th @ DBYC!

Please, please, please, go. We've got a renewed plan to keep you guys hyped and active, and it starts with us getting you to actually come to these things (which I know you guys do, but we could turn out with so much more!)

TO MY HOUSEHOLD : BE READY >8] I'm coming for you. LOL. JOKING. I'm just going to call you to pressure you to go. Okay, yeah.

I'd list my homework but I'm too lazy/tired to think right now. In fact, I'm going to beeeeeeed.

Sleep comes before the world, I'm afraid - YES, it does! GOOOODBYE AND AU REVOIR!

When two worlds collide

Happy Belated Valentine's Day everybody!

I say belated because as of an hour and thirty one minutes ago, it is one day passed Valentine's Day! So there you have it. I hope you spent this day with your love muffin or at least with special people! I certainly did!

I have certainly screwed myself over, as I came home late today (technically yesterday but let's not get technical) from Amanjyot's and our Girls Plus One Guy Night Out, and the day before, being a Friday, I slept my arse off and was too lazy to do anything. So tomorrow I face a crapload of homework. Hoooooooorah.

Channel 47, the awesome thing about Vday - Ross and Rachel Marathon! Ugh, total love fest going on, it makes me feel sappy. This whole day makes me feel sappy! Augh, for some reason, I always feel good on Vday, never horrible, unlike a million other people who do. I don't really buy into the whole commercialness of it all, I just enjoy seeing how happy people look when they get something special for their significant otherrrs :D

I'd list my homework like I always do but I don't wanna get depressed with it after having a really good day. So I'll just list it down in my agenda tomorrow when I actually have to face it! Go me.

Not much of an update, but I'm waaay too lazy to recap on everything - seriously, if I did, I'd clearly have way too much time on my hands - and I don't. So this is all you get!

Oh but by the way! GUESS WHO GOT A JOB? OOOER!

Yes, I got a job, and it's at New York Fries, at Central City! They let go of a LOT of their staff and are re-hiring, and they want a smaller, better and more efficient staff - and voila! I got a call on Thursday to do a quick Interview, which I think went extremely well, and got a second interview with the District Manager! What fun! Oh, and that also went well. All I have to do now is wait for a call from them - they never outright said "You're hired" but it was pretty clear considering they said they wanted to get me started as soon as possible. I can hardly wait for them to call me! If they don't do it by tomorrow, I'm definitely calling on Monday!

Sooo, anyway, I'm off to continue my R&R Marathon! Yahootie! Everyone should be with their special people today, so I don't think I'll be needing to save the world right now ;)

Yours truly,
GELINA WITH A JOB (:

Mind on a mission

Just a quick blog since I don't foresee another time where I can update...

Second week of second semester, some changes, but it's still aaaaaall good. I can't be bothered to start complaining about whatever is wrong about it because riiiight now I haven't quite got my energy. Booooooo. But I can say that I've settled in quite well to all of them, and I've come to really like all of them. Oh yes, and for my Peer Tutoring class, I got displaced to a French 8 class, and though it's painfully easy, I do enjoy being such a whiz compared to them youngins B-D

Have to add that Surrey 1 YFC, expect some chaaanges and some hype, yeeah? NEW and REVITALIZED, Saturday's L.A. was exactly what I needed. God, I missed you!

Sooo, I'm feeling really accomplished today, I did a crapload of my homework, and oh yes, I'm done a majority of it. Oh, but expect me to get moreee... French 12 and English H are no cake walk mes amis. Oh, neither is Socials... all the writing I have to do in those classes combined have given me advanced arthritis or something. My only true bird class is Peer Tutoring, 'cause let's face it - it's Peer Tutoring, and I've got French 8. Need I say more?

Anyway, even though I'm done all the homework, here it is for ya:

FR
  • Les lectures (time consuming and laborious on-going project... horribly long and, did I mention time consuming?)
  • Les mots croises

SS

  • 59 cue cards for Unit 1 (30/59 doneee! Hey, shutup, it's all I could do with my achey-breaky hands)

ENG

  • Read "Do Seek Their Meat from God" for tomorrow (?)
  • "The Storyteller" discussion questions
  • "The Storyteller vocab

And that should be le fin. It's 11:37, and I'm busing tomorrow, which means as always, I gotta wake up bright and early. Ugh, what fun. At least I'll have the time to read Do Seek Their Meat from God, as I totally blanked on that today and will have the time, as I also arrive super early to school when I bus.

Aurevoir mes amis. I leave you content, and for the world!

Yours, Gthang.

Lookin' out for number one

Today was the first day of Semester 2, and yes, as always, I was preeetty hyped for it. I had a great schedule, I had a bunch of great people in my blocks, and you know, just your usual excitement. Imagine my surprise when in homeroom at the beginning of the day, I get a REVISED VERSION OF MY SCHEDULE. UGH. I was royally ticked off. Not only did they switch around my A and C Blocks, TOTALLY ruining my plans for Peer Tutoring and my AWESOME Socials class, but they get me an EXTRA block... a Block Z!? Maniacs, I tell you! THIS is how it was supposed to be:

Original Schedule:

A - Socials 11 - Koehn
B - French 12 - Young
C - Peer Tutoring - Mumford
D - English H 11 - Adams

See!? PERFECT. Now what they changed it to:

A - Peer Tutoring - Mumford
B - French 12 - Young
C - Socials 11 - Koehn
D - English H 11 - Adams
Z - Work Exp - Lyons

The blasphemy! The cruelty! How could they! Of course I went to the Counsellor's first thing at lunch and demanded they switch it back as kindly as possible but it was impossible they told me, because to switch me back to Socials in A Block would mean increasing the already bulging class size... well, A BIG SCREW YOU TO WHOEVER KICKED ME OUT OF THAT CLASS :( All they could possibly do was take out my Z Block.... Ugh. Thanks for nothing!

I should really quit complaining, anyways. The only real problem I have is that they kicked me out of a class that I was originally in, and someone that had switched IN to that class now has the class that I want. AND, once again, I have EVERY CLASS this semester with my twin. Loooovely.

On the brightside, I like all of my classes, except for French 12 - how ironic, eh? It used to be my favourite class last semester, and now - it's just, ew. I'm sorry, but I want to kick soooo many of them in the face.... some of them can be so obnoxious! And I swear, my Grade 11 class was so much more mature last semester than this class is right now! You're supposed to be a year OLDER than me. Not a year younger. Act your ages, I tell you!

Now, behold, my new homework list. I've already finished it all, so I suppOse I can put a cross through them all.

PT

  • Fill out last few forms/papers
  • Get Contract signed

FR

  • pg. 1 - 3 bleu
  • Quiz Fri on les verbes au present... icky review

SS

  • What Is Canada? paragraph

ENG

  • Read "The Charmer" pg. 100
  • Read "The Storyteller" pg. 159 for Friday

And yes, overall, I'm happy with my classes, I really shouldn't have complained so much... but I am going to foreeever be angry that I was kicked out of Koehn's class.... really!

Oh, and I know what I got last semester for PE and French... 93% in French (meh, I really am so very unimpressed with that mark), and an 88% in PE... I was getting an 84% in Bio, but that has probably changed since I'm assuming that I did horrrribly on my Lab Exam and Final Exam as well. I already know what my horrible Math mark is ranging around, and I'm just glad I passed. This semester, I'm determined to great straight As! I have to. I really do have no choice, LOL.

Anyway, I'm gonna go watch Gossip Girl, and dread over OTH... goodness, Brucas will NEVER get back together if Pucas keep up with their dang ugly corny, lovey dovey, mush gushy, make-me-wanna-puke-and-crawl-in-a-burning-hole crap.

Glad to be back at school! I'll ttylsssss. -Gizzzle
