Remember what you told me

School is finally overrrr and although my vacation had a pretty good beginning it's still going on and it's gettin' a little bad. But all the good things that helped my vacation start off well (in no specific order):

  • Did well on the SS Provincial (I'm assuming so)
  • Going to awards night as requested from the school (ergo I'm receiving something, and that's a major surprise considering I didn't think I'd win anything this year, honestly)
  • My birthday and the party which followed my birthday (but that's changing pretty fast right now)
  • SAN DIEGO! (Right now I'm just hoping I can leave on a good note. Honestly. URRRRGH)
  • Last minute chillage before I leave with very special people! (Almost)

But those are all the things that are making my summer right now. And let's not forget all that I've got to do when I get back! So much left to do! Plus I've just deposited my entire year's earning from the After School Tutoring Program and so I'm 500+ dollars richer, and I may spend some of it! (But really very little... can't spend all of that when next year's grad!)

I forgot to fully explain San Diego. Come June 26th I'm leaving for San Diego for two weeks, and I'm doing absolutely everything there - Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Aquarium, San Diego County Fare and much much more! I'm hyped. I haven't gone on vacation in about 50 million years so I've got some catching up to do! And trust me, je suis tres excitee!

So somehow I managed to plow my way through the last month of schoool despite all of the bad things that have happened this month (thinking of Lana, Rest in Peace) I just did it. Everyday I thought of skipping Peer Tutoring or bleeping out Mme Young for giving me so much crap or just giving up COMPLETELY and ENTIRELY on English Honours because it was so repetitive and frustrating but I took it to the brink of going absolutely insane and I did it and so Gelina, you're awesome. You really did it even though you could have actually skipped Peer Tutoring or let yourself fail the last month because you honestly couldn't care less (however that's not true) and so you're awesome. This isn't as bad as last year though... seriously almost killed myself over worry and anxiety and that was just not fun. So it's getting better. I'm handling workloads much better I think. So very, very good on me.

So for once - no homework lists? Right? No school = no homework! So I guess you won't be seeing that for the next two months!!! That's a shame now that I think of it, I should have put one last Homework List before school ended, but really, what was the point of me throwing myself into a panic of having to see all I had to do. Just not worth it.

Reading an awesome awesome x100 book right now. "The Boleyn Inheritance." Thought that I would always love Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn the most out of all six wives but I've actually come to like Jane Seymour (AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN) and Anne of Cleves. I'm not feeling Katherine Howard though, trying to make it like she's Anne Boleyn reincarnated... but she is pretty awesome in her own right. Catherin Parr, you better be a good wife!

Btw, with all the book certificates and money I got on my birthday I've been splurging at book stores and besides The Boleyn Inheritance, I now own (with many thanks to who gave these books to me as presents!) Tales of Beedle the Bard, a book called The Elizabethan Age and my favourite book of all time!!!! A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. And as I still have plenty more money left and 25 dollars left in certificates, I've got bunches more left to own! Hoorah! Wow books actually make me really really happy :P

I'm watching the MMVAs and I'm running out of things to talk about. So I'm going to leave and print out my resume (as well as update it) because I'm applying to Bed Bath & Beyond tomorrow! Wish me luck. I've got to put that I got 2nd place in the School Writing Contest which I hope they actually give two cents about. And if only I knew what award they were going to give me on Tuesday for Awards Night, and I could add that on my resume too! Oh fooo.

Au revoir and till my next, predictably far off update as I hardly ever update this now -
