I can feel your heart beat

Sooo yeah, I'm babysitting right now, and I'm feeling pretty crappy that I can't find anything interesting for the kid to do besides watch Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants or Cadet Kelly... I'll try and make more conversation with her later :P

Anywaaaay, yesterday was awesomeeee. I woke up pretty early to get my stuff ready for swimming and get a head start on my chores so that when I came home I wouldn't get yelled at for not doing anything and being out all day. And yes, I was the one to set the time to meet at the Rec at one o'clock, but show up at, what? 2:30? SORRY! But I still wasn't the last one to arrive, Barkha was ;) LOL. 'Cause she was busing. And we even drove passed her at the bus stop on our way to the pool... YEAH, I'll stop there, LOL.

But yeah, swimming was super fun, and I'm saying WE MUST DO THAT AGAIN. Because I can finally just walk into a hot tub like it's nothing (yes, I could never do that until now because the heat would be too much for me), and that's just awesome peeps. PLUS, I already miss the smell of chlorine! Gotta do that again.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOODNESS. Call me a dork. Because I can barely wait for second semester. I just want school to come already so that I can enjoy my EASY remaining months at school (hopefully it's easy, anyway). No longer do you have to see the usual list of homework categorized into Math, Bio, French and SOMETIMES P.E.! Now it will all be categorized into (and this is my block order from A - D) Socials, French 12, Peer Tutoring (French 9), and English 11 Honours! Yeah baybay! Can someone say EASY? I sure can!

Okay, I think I should go, the poor kid I'm babysitting is looking so0o0o0o bored right now, and I really do feel bad :(

I'm off. I think babysitting is the equivalent to saving the world... since saving the world is the equivalent to babysitting the world, in some way. But you know what I mean, right? Toodle-oooodlesssss! -G.

Haven't lost it all yet

This is the blog where I stretch my arms and legs, sprawl myself across a couch in absolute comfort, relaxing with the fact that I am off school for a weeeek. Because one, I finished all of my exams on Friday, and two, I paasssssed my Math! I can breathe for once! And I can walk into Second Semester, resolved to work harder, and not be the complete idiot that I was this semester.

So new semester, new start, all that good stuff. I can't WAIT to empty out my binders and fill them up with fresh paper, get rid of all my ugly Math and Biology notes - yep, that's right, I am NEVER going to have to look at Math notes AGAIN in my life.

I did a little bit (or a lot) of cleaning earlier today (this whole fresh semester thing harsh got to me, eh? :P) and I'm feeling a wholeee lot better now that I took advantage of time I've been craving for to clean up my room. Now it's warm and clean and organized!

So I just called Kim to ask her if she had my calculator (I let her borrow it for her final) and it's not with her. I am going to kill her if she's lost it. Yes Kimberly, I will kill you.

I'm off to relax some more. And yes! I finally have to save the world! Lucky for you!

Goooooooodbye! GGGGGG.

This is the way you left me

I've never felt this pathetic.

This frustrated.

This useless.

This unimpressed.

Or this exhausted.

In a while.

Yeah, exams tomorrow.

God help me

Gotta save my own world before I save yours. -G

Honey, I'm no fool

12:11am, yeah, late night post (or rather, morning, baha). Yeah, I'm just putting off having to change out of my party clothes, and just waiting for a video (or two) to upload on Facebook... oooh the tedious job of uploading.

So0o0o even though what I'm talking about is technically yesterday, I'm going to refer to it was today. Just putting that out there before I confuse you :P

Dentist Appt today in the morning, omfg, I got my first cavity (and a half) :(! It SUCKS. I had to have two fillings done and fudge, it's horrible, I was so sensitive to all of it, and I was twitching like a weirdo, and just blah. It's a horrible sensation. Anyway, went out to eat with the famfam afterwards at Hoy's, only the best Chinese place ever to get awesome Chinese food. Yummy yummyyummy. I sadly skipped out on Pastoral because there wasn't a wide enough of berth for me to go straight to it and then right to Amanjyot's party :( I really wish I could have gone though.

But anyway. I went straight home, changed super fast, then was at Red's in a jiffy (actually I wasn't :P). I'm stupid for even ordering a full meal, since I already ate out, it would have been a healthier choice, plus I would've saved money! But I guess it doesn't matter, I just seem to spend less and less everytime I go there, really! I only spent 15 bucks this time, and that's pretty freakin' good.

Anyway, in the middle of the party Kim and I had to step out to run to the Karaoke place and ask for them to extend our reservation to 8:30, since we were all running late. But we eventually got there, and yeeeeus, I took the mic once or twice ;) HAHA, WELL, NOT REALLY, I JUST SHARED IT.

Overall good day, but also wasted if you see that I did not do any of my homework :( Life sucks. I hate homework. It just got me in a bad mood. Well anyway, here are some pictures from the party:

Anyway, I suppose I'll just save the world tomorrow. I'm really so sleepy right now. I can't bother with the world at this moment!

Gooodbye,
G.

Another broken avenue

One thing I love about the last two weeks of first semester is that it means SECOND semester is on it's way, and I no longer have to deal with a schedule that I've gotten too used to, and is now boring and an old routine. It's a total change of pace. But one thing I hate?

ALL.
THIS.
FREAKING.
HOMEWORK.
I SERIOUSLY DO!

I know I shouldn't be complaining, I should have expected this all, but COME. THE FREAK. ON. I AM EXHAUSTED. I CAME HOME AFTER SCHOOL YESTERDAY AND STARTED MY HOMEWORK AT 3, WORKING STRAIGHT TILL 9:30. MEANING NO LOOKING UP, NO BREAKS, NO NOTHING. MY HEAD WAS HARSH IN THE BOOKS. AND TODAY I HAVE NOT STOPPED AT ALL EITHER (well, only to take a shower). And I am tired. And I am not happy with the all the homework. I'm sure it's the teachers job to give us homework and the amount is all on their discretion, but seriously. Do they NOT understand that we have other classes? That YES WE CAN MANAGE OUR TIME WELL BUT SOMETIMES IT JUST WON'T ALL FIT? That having other classes means having OTHER homework? I can't stand this. I can't stand teachers. Especially you Ms. Phan. What have you doneee? Making me hate school so much. I used to enjoy it until all of this crap. FRACK.

So, in other words, after that long rant - I have lots of work to be doing. And trust me, I've been doing it, and it's been driving me insane everyday. Ever since the beginning of this week I've been putting my ass on the line for school, so thank God it's almost over. Freaking out over a Math Test, rat dissections and Lab write-ups.... a;sdfkjasflkjaslfkj. I harsh can't talk about this all over again or I'll freak out once moreee, and I don't wanna be mad right now.

Went to the mall after school to drop my resume off at a billion few places... well, just six. Carlton Cards, Sportsmart, Bentley's, New York Fries, Orange Julius and Zellers. Oo0o0oh baby that's right, I said Zelleeers! Ugh, yeah, I'm that desperad-o for a job, my friends.

I basically have today and Sunday to do as much homework as possible before Monday, because Saturday is a packed schedule my frieeends (and I'm not likin' this at all).

  • Dentist Appt - 10:00am- 1:00pm? All of the family's going, it always takes a super long time, and we always eat out afterewards.
  • Pastoral - 3:30pm - 5:30om? May leave early though 'cause of neeext thing.
  • Amanjyot's Thang - 6:00pm - Late

So, assuming that the Dentist appointment doesnt end before or after 1, I've got a two hour gap to the rest of my truckload, aka, homework. That will be extreeemely fun.

n2s: WITHDRAW!
n2s: CAMERA!

Time to list 'em up, my pals. Actually, do I really wanna? 'Cause this will just depress me. Well, whatever, I'd rather be organized and depressed than unorganized and... well, still depressed :P

Saving the world seems so impossible right now when I can't even do my homework. Bad news for the both of us my friends.

Yours, G.

Truth be told, I'm lying

Who0o0o0o0oa.

So the first week back at school after Winter Break hasn't been awful. Surprisingly, it's been okay (minus Math). I'm honestly super glad to be back, and somewhat ready to tackle all my exams at the end of the month... two more weeks of this left and we're onto second semester baby! I just need to pass Math by the skin of my teeth and I'm DONE with it, COMPLETELY, FOREVER. No way am I ever gonna take a Math course again unless it's EASY BEYOND EASY.

I finally got my confirmation letter to go to the Preview Weekend at Trinity Western University! Yeah baby! Cannot waaaaait to get over there and have my tours, sleep overnight, take their seminars, most especially talk to the students there! I'm gonna grill 'em. Ask them to be COMPLETELY honest with me and tell me hif they really like it here, how hard it was for them to transition into high school -> college life. It'll be really beneficial of me to take full advantage of this Weekend Campus Life Tour, and you certainly know I will!

Back to school means back to doing work. Here is the homewooork for the weekend, my friends.

FR
  • Brainstorm ideas for Final Project
  • Start script for Final Project
  • Quiz corrections

BIO

  • Questions from mini-lab
  • Go over Final Exam topics?
  • GET AN A!

MA

  • Lame geometry w/s on Tangent Chords or something? Whatever.
  • PASSSS!!!!

To be completely honest, I'm worrying my butt off in Math. I seriously don't know what I'm gonna do if I don't get it together... I'm already pulling my luck the way things are going now, I can't keep it up, I have to do everything I possibly can to better my mark, and I really WILL have to do everything. Man oh man, I hate hate hate hate HATE Math.

Been having a bit of a Star Wars Marathon, I'm watching Star Wars IV: A New Hope right now, and I really do love it. Almost more than the most recent makes of the Star Wars movies, like Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The oldies are always more awesome anyway! Oh, but still, I do very much recommend you watch those three, plus A New Hope... they're all so good.

I'm pondering switching out of my Socials 11 Class right now, I dunno what to do. Right now I've got Koehn, and I have rave reviews from him, and I would really love to give him a shot. However in the other hand there's Schieve, and I've heard even more good stuff about him, but do I wanna go through all the trouble of switching out? I certainly dunnooo. I'm on le fence.

Second Semester, please come quickly, quietly and as painlessly as possible. I need you NOW.

I'll save the world sooner or later. BYEAS! -G

I see sunset in your eyes

OKAY. Instant replay of the latest haps for ya:

So yesterday night, the snow started falling like dandruff. It was just the worst. And of course, this started the endless debate about school being open or not. But, being realistic, I go to a school where until three years ago, it hadn't had a snow day for SEVENTEEN YEARS. I mean, that is a LONG time. Guildford Park and the School Board are sooo stubborn, and never ever shuts down school, but then again you never know. So, I resolved myself to wake up early in the morning to check all the News websites and the radio to see if our school was given a Snow Day.

It was 5:45 and only Post Secondary Campuses and Public schools in Pitt Meadows, Abbotsford, and Maple Ridge were closed, and by 6:45, it was still the same. I called my classmates to ask if they were going and they were. So I got dressed and dredged my butt off to school.

Figures, when we get there, we find out that JH got shut down. Which is complete and UTTER bull. If JH is closed, GP should have been closed too... it's a PACKAGE DEAL. We're in the same district! So 1/4 of the school is already there, and in the middle of our first block the announcements come on and tell us that school's been shut down for the day... WAY TO GIVE US SUPER LATE NOTICE. I have NEVER been so unimpressed since arriving at GP. Our School Board is SO stubborn - just because it's PUBLIC school and majority of the students that go there are within the catchment (however I'm not), it doesn't mean we're ALL WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE SCHOOL AND CAN GET THERE IN 15 MINUTES OR LESS. So to the Surrey District 36 School Board, here is a big SCREEEEEEEEEEW YOU!

SO yeah, I am mad. So much for a first day back from Winter Break. My cell ringing off the hook with people asking me if I'm going to school or not, if school is even open, if the roads suck - and like 15 staff showing up out of like 50. Goodness, OUR DISTRICT IS SO STUBBORN. AGH.

There better be school tomorrow. I can't afford to miss a day worth of studying for my Math and Bio exam. UGH.

I'll save the world when the snow is all gone and melted and evaporated. Promise.
Gooodbyeeeeeeeeeee, Gelina
